পেনড্রাইভটির গতি বাড়ান

পেনড্রাইভ বা ইউএসবি ফ্ল্যাশ ড্রাইভ ব্যবহার করে নিমেষেই এক কম্পিউটার
থেকে আরেক কম্পিউটারে তথ্য স্থানান্তর করা যায়। বেশি ব্যবহারে পেনড্রাইভের
গতি কমতে থাকে।
যে কারণে গতি কমে
ফাইল সিস্টেম পরিবর্তন: উইন্ডোজ এক্সপির পরবর্তী সব অপারেটিং সিস্টেমে ফাইল স্থানান্তরের জন্য NTFS ফাইল সিস্টেম ব্যবহার করা হয়। আপনার ব্যবহৃত পেনড্রাইভের ফাইল সিস্টেম যদি আগের এফএটি ঘরানার হয়ে থাকে, তাহলে তথ্য স্থানান্তরে সেটি ধীরগতির হবে।
গতি বাড়াতে ইউএসবি পোর্টে পেনড্রাইভে লাগিয়ে নিন। এবার পেনড্রাইভে রাইট ক্লিক করে Format-এ ক্লিক করুন। File system থেকে NTFS নির্বাচন করুন। Format option-এর Quick Format-এ থাকা টিক চিহ্ন তুলে দিন। Start-এ ক্লিক করে কিছুক্ষণ অপেক্ষা করুন। এভাবে পেনড্রাইভ ফরম্যাট করতে সময় বেশি নিতে পারে।
ডিস্কে সমস্যা: কম্পিউটারের হার্ডড্রাইভের মতো পেনড্রাইভের ডিস্কে সমস্যা থাকলে তথ্য স্থানান্তরে ঝামেলা হতে পারে। যদি ডিস্কের সমস্যাকে স্ক্যান করে নেওয়া যায়, তবে তথ্য স্থানান্তর দ্রুত হবে। এ জন্য পেনড্রাইভে ডান ক্লিক করে Properties থেকে Tools ট্যাবে ক্লিক করুন। Check now বোতামে ক্লিক করুন। Automatically fix file system errors এবং Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors তে টিক চিহ্ন দিয়ে Start চাপুন। এই কাজটি সম্পন্ন হতেও সময় বেশি নেবে।
ফরম্যাট: পেনড্রাইভের তথ্য স্থানান্তর দ্রুত করার জন্য অনেক ব্যবহারকারীই প্রতিবার ব্যবহারের আগে ফরম্যাট করে নেন। এটি বেশ কাজের। তবে অনেক প্রযুক্তিবিদের মতে ঘন ঘন ফরম্যাট করলে পেনড্রাইভ তার কর্মক্ষমতা হারাতে পারে।
যে কারণে গতি কমে
- পেনড্রাইভ যত ব্যবহার করা হবে আর পুরোনো হবে, এর গতি তত কমতে থাকে।
- কোন ধরনের ফাইল পাঠানো হচ্ছে সেটার বিবেচনায় গতি কমে। আবার গান, ভিডিও বা ডকুমেন্টস ফাইল দ্রুত যায়। কিন্তু এক ফোল্ডারে ছোট ছোট অনেক ফাইল থাকলে বা অ্যাপ্লিকেশন ফাইল ধীরে যায়।
- আবার কম্পিউটারের ইউএসবি পোর্ট ও পেনড্রাইভের সংস্করণের ওপর নির্ভর করে এর গতি।
